Lately we just released more plugins updated with CLAP version.

GrainSpace: https://www.audiority.com/shop/grainspace/
Pre X7: https://www.audiority.com/shop/pre-x7/
XenoVerb: https://www.audiority.com/shop/xenoverb/

Is there any way for us developers to have an account on the site to directly submit these entries?

Thanks,
Luca

We just released the Free Martinic Kee Bass v1.2.0 alpha6 (CLAP edition). You can download it here:

https://www.martinic.com/blog/clap-audio-plugin-format

Make sure to select '64-bit CLAP Plug-in' in the installer component selection.

That's great news! How about creating a Linux version as well? It looks like you already use open frameworks and JUCE. It shouldn't be too much more work to support Linux. :)

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

It needs something like Reaper for Linux with CLAP support widely supported. We use our own IPlug framework and Linux is an option for the future.

Majority of “big” app developers seem to shrug CLAP off.
Is CLAP setup for win or failure - only more time will tell.
My current setup consists of DAW’s that are not CLAP ready and I don’t think they ever will…
- Steinberg Cubase Pro
- Logic Pro
- Ableton Live Suite
- Reason
Btw; We already have following plugin formats, do we really need yet another one?
VST
AU
AAX
RTAS
TDM

Slow compared to what? Compared to VST3? Compared to VST2? How about compare it to LV2, an open plugin standard that tried to compete, and got almost zero industry adoption, and was relegated to open source plugins. But all three measures, CLAP adoption has been rapid, and the future looks very good. In less than 6 months we have over a dozen commercial developers with releases, and many more to come. I expect Studio One to adopt it, and even have hope for Avid. Epic Games wants it. Black Magic wants it. Reaper will have it soon. Ableton will eventually evaluate it, and since they are already multi-format, there's every reason to expect they will also adopt it at some point in the future.

I don't think you understand what CLAP is actually about, and why it exists. "Do we really need another one"? Yes. We absolutely do. And the reason is simple: Steinberg. They have lost the trust of the community, and have done nothing to regain it. CLAP would not exist if Steinberg had not pulled their draconian crap with the deprecation of VST2, refusing to grant new licenses, refusing to listen to feedback regarding VST3. Read the many threads, and listen to actual developers. CLAP is open, cross-platform, innovative, efficient, easy to develop to. It provides a development CI/CD target to developers that will never be pulled out from under them. It brings things to the DAW that we need. It's not just a "me too" format. It's superior in every way to VST2 and 3.

But if you disagree with this, please take your argument elsewhere. I have no interest in arguing with you. There are plenty of threads for that. This thread is for the submission of CLAP plugins.
