Controlling sound levels with compressor/limiter (Logic Pro)

Hi,

I've watched some videos from Marsh and he is using Pro-L and Manny Marroquin Triple D to control the sound levels, so for example bass "hits" will always have same weight, but this can be applied to other sounds to.

My question is how would I replicate this with Logic's plugins?
