Is there a way to store an instance of a kontakt drum kit, set up with multiple channels for each kit piece (kick, snare etc) as a template to easily drop into projects?

I have starter templates set up with different kits that I might want to use in a project, but being able to easily load these up quickly if I needed to switch in a project would be great.

Currently if I want to add a different kit to a piece I'm already working on I have to add kontakt, then the kit, then set up the channels and the routing. Storing it as a premade rack of some kind to drop in to a project would be amazing. I already store effects racks and some instrument racks but have yet to figure out how to do it with multi-out kontakt instruments.

I have been looking around and haven't found an explanation of how to do it yet. Maybe it's not possible.

You can do it with "external instrument" device, to have all kontakt output on one track. If I remember correctly.

Any chance of a link for how to do this? Have just been experimenting and haven't quite got it to work

Did not find video on YT how to do it, installed live for one screenshot... anyway.

Create Kontakt midi track, group kontakt, add external instrument device. In the external instrument device select your instrument rack and kontakt instance, then select audio output.

Cheers. That worked exactly how I wanted. I was trying to put the rack after the instance of Kontakt. What an idiot eh? Thanks for the help, it's very much appreciated.
