Just listened the new edition of the Beatles Revolver (Super Deluxe version) .
Most of the early version tracks included, I've heard before.

But at least a couple of new interesting add on information for me, and maybe for most of the Beatles hard core fans.

First surprise:
Got to get to into my life early version arrangement (second) included same guitar riff than the Paperback writer.

Most surprising thing was revealed in the origin of the Yellow submarine.

Until these days I've always believed that the writer of this song was mainly Paul, who in interviews has underlined the lighthearted character of the song, and called it "a childrens song". Of course some have hinted the Yellow submarines reference to drugs.

But it seems, that the initiative for the song came from John's pen, and the original nature of the song was very different to the final version. It was very much introvert, typical John, reflecting his childhood experiences.

The first lines melody reminds the Yellow submarine released version first lines, but the sorrowful lyrics goes:
"In the place, where I was born, no one cared, no one cared,
In the town, where I was born, no one cared, no one cared..."

It was pity that the Beatles turned the song what it became. I've never found, that the released song fits to the Revolver album. For a separate single, maybe, but not for the album.
