Trying to decide between Kali IN-8 and Presonus Spectre S8 studio monitors

Have a look at the Dynaudio BM5 MkIII monitors. Great monitors and best "bang for the buck" in my opinion.

The Kali's have been a game changer for me personally. Never tried the Presonus tho, so I guess I'm biased

I had Sceptres S8 and was wondering also about Kalis but went for S8s due to IN-8 hiss issue which was affecting the first generation. My opinion is totally uncientific and I was using them in a completely untreated room so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.
Haven't listed to Kalis but from the videos and opinions on the internet it looks like the main issue with them is the different high frequnecies response depending on the listening position - 10-15 degrees of axis causes slight change in perceived frequency response. Not sure if it's a big problem or not but this combined with the hiss issue with the first generation made me decide to go with Sceptres (second gen doesn't have this problem anymore).

So to me Sceptres sounded absolutely fanstastic. Because of the coaxial design the soundstage was very deep and immersive. They had very solid bottom and were very loud. Some people say that they might be missing upper frequencies and because of this reverb tails could be too long after mixing but I haven't noticed this personally. I sold them and bought Neumann KH-310 pair because I had a good deal and...I don't think it's such a big improvement over S8s. Of course they are great but not a big leap in terms of quality. If I had more money and space I'd definitely keep both.

i'm currently using Kali IN-5 and when i connect my power adapter to my laptop,
i get a constant crackling noise out of my speakers. since they are similar i don't recommend
IN-8. i bought these about 3 months ago BTW.
