Assign multiple samples to 1 note (Kontakt) and play randomly

Hi there, I'd like to assign, say, 10 samples to a key, and to trigger a random playback from these 10 samples when the key is pressed. I cannot find any info as to how to achieve that, yet I know some Kontakt liberaries can do it.
Any suggestions? Many thx for any input!

Thanks for this..Etienne1973 wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 1:02 pm NI Kontakt 6 > Group Editor > Group Start Options > Condition: Cycle Random

What I have tried: inserting 4 wav samples into 1 note; changing this group to 'Cycle random'; changing every sample to 'One shot' mode instead of 'untill end'.
But pressing C1 (1) doesn't seem to playback the 4 samples randomly but playing them depending on velocity. (2) More horribly, sometimes pressing C1 does not get any sound at all even though that red horizontal little bar lights up on one of the samples.
What's wrong? How can I get it to work?

At moment the 4 samples have all different velocity zones. In the Mapping Editor select them all and edit their Vel Range to 1 - 127.
Does it work now?
Edit: I was probably wrong about something I just posted.

tried it. it sort of played the 'combined effect' of all 4 samples.Etienne1973 wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 4:41 pm At moment the 4 samples have all different velocity zones. In the Mapping Editor select them all and edit their Vel Range to 1 - 127.

For my needs it does not have to play the 4 samples randomly, it also works well if, everytime that key is pressed, the next sample is played. I tried Cycle Robin. No it doesn't work the way I thought it would.
thx for your reply. Hope someone will come up with magic..

This is the issue: As it reads as though you are only using one group. Each sample must have its own group.

You can do it in one group but then you'll have to dig into scripting.

thanks to all. But I am not getting any luck by putting each sample in a different group. Seems which sample gets landed on still depends on the velocity of key press.Unaspected wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 5:59 pmThis is the issue: As it reads as though you are only using one group. I am giving up on this for now.

If you just make the 4 samples Vel Range 1 - 127 then it should work finally.

Making Vel range to 1-127 sort of has worked, except every now and then, a key press triggers NO sound.. Has anyone seen this problem before? Bizzar!Etienne1973 wrote: Sun Oct 30, 2022 11:20 am If you just make the 4 samples Vel Range 1 - 127 then it should work finally.
