Thank you! I figured that was the deal, but you might've noticed I'm easily confused/distracted. :-D

One last question: could you throw in a floor-jack I can use to keep the floor from sagging under my disc storage shelves? You've really done a job on it with all these irresistible and eee-nor-MIG-ulous deals you keep coming up with...

=^_^=

Meffy
he ain't heavy, he's my CD binder
well, okay... now that you mention it, he is right heavy

Floor jack not included. There are some samples of a bowed fan in there though. :D (cool effect- kind of like a waterphone)

Now that's esoteric! Fan as in "rotating thing with blades to shove air around?"

Meffy, you've got it all wrong - Bruce Forsyth is the host with the most distinctive features - look at that chin and moustache, even Sonik Synth 2 can't compete with those features!!!

Yeah, I did a ton of experimental sound recordings that I was intending on releasing as a library at some point. This involved bowing every metal object we could find and blowing trombone mouthpieces into large industrial pipes and hitting various metal, wood and glass objects with sticks, mallets and all sorts of things.

I've extracted a few things from those sessions for the sound design in Sonik Synth 2. When I say it is eclectic I am NOT just talking about zillions of vintage synths. It's really wide.

Eventually I will have someone go through hours and hours of noises from these sessions though and pull some more. It's a fun type of sound design and GREAT for film. Once you have sounds like that in the ST2 engine you can quickly do wicked processing and tweaking to make really cool effects.

Maybe not, but just try tweaking some of those features and see how he likes it! :-D SS2, from what I can tell, will loooove to be tweaked.

You were barking up the wrong tree anyway. :D

Weird sound sources are great. Oboes and Strats and djembes are all well and good, but as the old joke goes...

Ever since making my aunt and uncle angry at age seven or eight -- they hadn't wanted their baby grand piano to become a prepared piano! -- I've been a big fan of getting musical sounds from unusual things.

SS2 looks to be a treat. If and when you do come up with a big set of sounds from Seltsame-geräuschhersteller, you just know I'm in!

I would love some good waterphone samples.

FZ's "Evelyn, a Modified Dog"!

(Although it was actually "she" said).

BTW, putting the SS2 upgrade into a DVD case works for me. Anything to get it into my greedy little hands all the sooner.

*nodnod* Adapted on account of I'm a "he." A male mephit -- not a very large poodle dog! :-)
