So if we own Z2 & Hz all we need to do is download the Legacy installer on the 15th ?

Yes.

Then wait for the free upgrade to Z3 when that's ready.

You gotta love a company that appreciates loyal customers like that.

I was just at Starbucks yesterday for the first time in a while... that doesn't seem too far off. :scared:

As a Zebra 2 owner this means I'm getting The Dark Zebra for free (+other soundsets)... yay! :)

Awesome deal! One of the coolest dudes, companies, some of the best synths and FX, some of the best sound designers. Just bought Zebra.

Man u-he is just great! Does it make a difference if I bought Zebra 2 second hand or from the u-he website?

Now, if I only wanted Zebra... :(

It's a great synth, but I know that I'd only use it as a preset player.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

No difference. The only difference is made between whether the originally bought license is a classic Zebra2 or, after the switch, a new Zebra Legacy, and the only difference (apart from price) is the upgrade path to Z3 (or not).

Ok, just to make sure I got it right because I got confused by the "(or not)" at the end: The only reason I'd have to pay full price for Z3 is if I don't own Zebra before 15th November?

This is a good deal but it took me parsing it out to make sense of it lol. Here's how I figure it. If we assume Z3 costs €199 like Z2:

Buy Z2 before 11/15:
€199 Zebra2
€0 Dark Zebra and soundsets on 11/15
€30 for Zebra3 (for already owning Z2 + DZ)
------------------
Outcome: paid €228

Buy Zebra Legacy on 11/15:
€99 - Zebra2 + DZ and soundsets
€199 - Zebra3 (no discount)
------------------
Outcome: paid €298

But if we assume Z3 will be more like €299 (since if you purchased Z2 + DZ you paid €298 and you're getting Z3 for free):

Buy Z2 before 11/15:
€199 Zebra2
€0 Dark Zebra on 11/15
€30 for Zebra3 (for already owning Z2 + DZ)
------------------
Outcome: paid €228

Buy Zebra Legacy on 11/15:
€99 - Zebra2 + DZ
€299 - Zebra3 (no discount)
------------------
Outcome: paid €398

Now buying Z2 before 11/15 is an even better deal. All of this is assuming you don't already own a Zebra product and want to purchase Z3 whenever it comes out. If the latter isn't true, then Legacy is an even better deal.

Fantastic news; looking forward to the 15th!

Not sure the deal counts if you buy from a distributor. Urs can clarify how that works.

Fwiw, i think buying it used or at another seller also applies to the whole deal. Why shouldn't it in the end?
