JD-XA is $2,200 USD new here and I got mine used for around $850. Pretty easy to find cheap because it wasn’t a big hit. It feels pretty toy-ish but it’s kind of cool to be able to tuck a big analog under your arm with no effort.

You can run the digital oscillators through the analog filters. Pretty great way to get that Roland sheen without the harshness. The digital oscillators do supersaws, too. But once you hear how well the voice stealing is implemented, you’ll really appreciate the digital side. It’s like having a 128-voice analog. I can hear the voice stealing happening but it doesn’t bother me because the chords are so dense by that point.

Finally, Roland released close to 300 extra patches and you can also load the several hundred Integra-7 VA patches.

Ah, that actually makes the digital side a lot more attractive. I didn't know that, thanks. Still, I'm unlikely to be able to source even a second hand one locally if they don't sell them new. TBH not that keen on paying for a synth to be shipped half way across the world - especially 2nd hand. If there was a market for them here I think I'd snap up a used one. Seems funny it wasn't a hit considering the analogue side of it.
