I would like to create a new .w2a/.w2v sound (called "voice" by Yamaha) from scratch for the Yamaha Motif 8 using some software that can do this.
The software should be like Serum in functionality (where you could really create sounds from scratch starting with basic wave forms) but it should allow me to save the files in the format needed for the Motif 8.
Then I could import the new sound into a Motif 8 (via their Smart Media memory card) and play the sounds I created myself for performances. That would be the aim.
Another possibility I can see might be a conversion tool that can do the job if you know something of that kind?
I just couldn't find any software that can do this (preferably freeware).

It's the old Yamaha editor that was on the cd rom but this one is not for Windows 10.
More importantly, though, you could only edit the preset sounds that already existed with this editor.
My aim would be rather to create new sounds.
