Hi,

I have a new external SSD (Samsung T7) and I want to transfer my Komplete 12 library from my old SSD to my new T7.

What's the best way to do it ? I know you can do it with Native Access but is it something that can be done flawlessly or will I break a lot of stuff ?

I'm on Mac if that matters.

Thanx

What I did recently when moving over to a new system was:

a) made sure the drive and partitions had the same name as before
b) using native access 2 it was then mainly a matter of just using the locate feature to relocate the libraries (just the big sample libs - I reinstalled the small stuff) - but if you are on the same system still I suspect you may not even need to do that if you follow step one and the system sees the new drive as being the same as the old one

Just copy all your NI content to the new SSD then open NA2 and locate the missing libraries that shown in NA2 to your new SSD location. That’s how I do it and no issue at all

This method basically works for all vendors in my experience, the only vendor that has issue and I absolutely hate is Spitfire Audio, their protection method sucks.

i have a 1 tb hard drive limit for my kontakt libraries. and 4 tb backups.
usually i go to native instruments reg edit and clean to reset libraries..

when i need to use diferent hard drives i do nothing.. i have pre selected the possible directories and it finds it automatically... BUT sometimes you open Kontakt and if fails to load sounds..
just search directory and click ok, because is already in the correct dir, somehow sometimes it bugs.

TLDR

just copy/move and locate. sometimes bugs out search same dir and BOOM! all is back
