4Front’s TruePianos will have an update that brings native Apple silicon, AUv3, VST3, AAX, and high-resolution display support soon. Spoke with the developer about it recently.

now just waiting on T-Racks which gladly heard supposed to be coming this month as stated here previously,
and now....well..... waiting on Kush Audio
i really do wonder what could be taking this long to port atleast one, single product to m1 arm64?
especially Blyss for example, which is their newest product they worked on, assuming that it's codebase is the most recent and up to date in terms of SDKs/frameworks and JUCE version...
i mean, i figured it would take them longer than most companies since they are a small company, and they also chose to use iLok.. so they had to wait for PACE to be native, so its understandable..
but they havent even push a single update for any product for m1, not even one single plugin, in like 3 years now? since apple silicon was announced and dev kits were supplied? their website doesnt even mention the words "apple silicon" or "m1"..
people seem to be kinda angry also on their instagram account's posts,
they just handle this very badly as company i have to say, even if something goes wrong on their side - the right thing to do is communicate it to the customers and be transparent, instead of stating vague useless statements like "were plan/working on it but theres no ETA"...
every project/company have ETA's, thats why they are called estimations... without setting an estimation/goal, you might as well just drink a cup of coffee and hope some magical fairy come and do that work for you...
shame really... they are one of my favourite companies, i hate that i have to find a replacements for Omega N and Clariphonic

Wholly agree - but being a small company isn’t an excuse. Valhalla are small and they got updates out pretty quickly and have even released Ventura certified updates!jumkulomapel wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 11:36 amJST Howard Benson Vocals is now native from a few days ago,

Some companies have really shown their true colours with the transition to M1, and while I look forward to getting my T-Racks plugins updated I will no longer purchase any new software from them or any others who did not have a clear update path. Hell, even if they charged a small fee for M1 updates to cover some of the development costs I would have been happy to pay.

I have a feeling this is down to companies who do their own coding or buy this service from somewhere else. You see companies like TB Pro, Fuse, Voxengo, FabFilter, Tokyo Dawn, Audiority, AudioThing, John V Audio, Devious Machines and so on can all spin an update in an afternoon or thereabouts when needed.
I don't know the full details obviously but the companies where you don't know the Dev/Coder are the ones that take an age. I guess there are only a certain amount of competent coders who are probable very booked up.

Either way, I take this as a good opportunity to decide what plugins going to stay and which going out of my system, as I piled up too much stuff that actually slows down my workflow than helping me. It's not about the computer performance but too many options to choose from really do not work well for me.
I am slowly transitioning to use replacement of some of the plugins and software that I used to use daily.
I will do a wipe and fresh install of my Macs around March 2023. By then all the software and plugins that are not Apple Silicon Native, will be gone.
Plugins that take like 4 or 5 seconds to load the GUI will be gone too.

Not quite, the key word is "announced", closer to 2 1/2 years.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:12 pm2 years exactly - Nov 2020jumkulomapel wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 11:36 am in like 3 years now? since apple silicon was announced

Just installed it on a MacbookPro M1 Max. The .AU appears to work fine in Logic Pro 10.7.5 and is recognized as silicon native. Also ran it as a VST3 in Cubase 12.40.0 and it works fine there, too. Interestingly, the beta package drops a VST2 version in that is read by Archichect as silicon native. Cubase only sees the VST3 version in its Plug-In Manager which seems normal in these cases. So, good, one more native plug-in for the check list.-nko- wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:53 pm Sylenth1 v3.071 Beta is out, includes native ARM and VST3 versions. I haven't tried it yet though.
