FW400 was good enough for my music ‘bandwidth’.jamcat wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 9:00 pmaMUSEd wrote: Wed Oct 26, 2022 10:18 am Likely to be problems for anyone still using FireWire

Same with Roland Cloud…Rickskii wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 11:05 pm M1 Silicon Boz Digital plugins keep resetting and needing re-authentication. Sent a ticket to Boz and he is aware.
It works. It just took a reset/rescan.jamcat wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 5:06 am PG-8X is beyond a lost cause. Don’t even get me started on that again.![]()
Of course that graph is relevant. It illustrates just how long FireWire has been obsolete for, which is why it is no longer supported.revvy wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 8:56 am Anyway, I have a USB C interface now, I was just being nostalgic, your image isn’t really relevant.
Yet here I am; Mac Mini M1, Logic X 10.7.5 in NATIVE, PG8X. No wrapper, no tricks, no disabled SIP. My only trick for getting some things to work has been, again, opening the host in rosetta, doing the reset/rescan there, then opening the host in native. And I didn't even have to do that here. It just required a reset/rescan under native.jamcat wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:27 pm It doesn’t work in native Apple Silicon, and the AU version has been totally broken for a decade and was pulled instead of being fixed. So there’s no way to use PG-8X unless you run your DAW in Rosetta2 forever.
Where did you get a working AU version?theviirus wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:30 pm Yet here I am; Mac Mini M1, Logic X 10.7.5 in NATIVE, PG8X. No wrapper, no tricks, no disabled SIP. It's not really opening in Native, it's using Logic's built in Intel wrapper - that's why I can still load Massive X and Absynth in Logic in native mode on Venturatheviirus wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:30 pmYet here I am; Mac Mini M1, Logic X 10.7.5 in NATIVE, PG8X. Here I am in Live 11...that I don't really use much either. AU loads fine. EDIT TO SHOW AUv2.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:40 pmIt's not really opening in Native, it's using Logic's built in Intel wrapper - that's why I can still load Massive X and Absynth in Logic in native mode on Venturatheviirus wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:30 pmYet here I am; Mac Mini M1, Logic X 10.7.5 in NATIVE, PG8X.
