Well, I was working on my first all-Traction track and everything was going good, until...
I was ready to record some vocals and had it set up the way I always do. I switched the output, in Traction's settings, to my Aardvark card via ASIO. When I tried to monitor, all I got was sputtering. The same setup works in Magix Audio Studio, so I figured it was something with the card latency setup in Tracktion. Well, I tweaked that all around to no avail. I got it to stop sputtering at much, but everything sounded like it was in slightly-sputtered slow motion.

Any ideas?

I'm working the samething right now,,maybe we could help each other.
I had problems with play back because I had realtime priority on,,turned it off,,better
Now I've got crackling like crazy,,,so I froze a bunch off tracks,,,that worked,,
After adding plugsound free,,,I get stuck notes on it at the end of playback,,,,can't find kill switch :x you found midi kill????

I haven't found a midi kill option. Did you try turning off "e-to-e"? Your comments make me think that I should freeze. I was wondering when the thing would max out. Right now I have probably triple the effects that I'm used to using, so I'm not unhappy about freezing. I'll try the realtime priority to see if that helps. Ty, and good luck.

I think I've been having that "crackling" problem too (not sure which word(s) to describe it but that sounds about right). I was afraid to ask around about it cause I figured I'd look stupid. Switching the sound device in settings seems to fix it for a little bit, but then after playing/rewinding the track a few times it starts to come back. I tried the add low level nois e as a shot in the dark, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. arrrgh, frustration.
Ideas are bulletproof... I am not.

Turn off realtime priority mode. It sounds like a "whiz-bang" good thing, but it's not.

Also, try turning off or on (depending on what you have it set for) ASIO direct mode.
