FileSilo has been the download site for CM (and multiple other magazines by Future Publishing, just look at the front page) for quite a few years, so its as legit and safe as getting something directly from the supplier ever is.

Yes and yes. CM recently opened up its downloadable content to everyone. I do not know why. There are some gems in there and you will be tempted to buy the full versions.

FWIW, the FileSilo links still seem to be gated by the 'word 10 in para 5 on page 20' reference to the magazine, however there are also .rtf files for some (all?) with direct links to the downloads.

Someone was speculating that they might be cancelling the mag - don't want to idly speculate but hope this isn't the case. I don't subscribe but i like getting issues that seem relevant to me

I still use Dune and Zebra CM from the suite that came with the magazine! There's really a lot of great stuff they've provided over the years.
Though from first glance I wonder if this is not based on the v2 suite that came with that updated Bazille and Zebra? There was a bit of confusion for a couple weeks because of different suites they had...

1.2 GB? At least It'll give me time to read War and Peace while it's downloading.

Not much; go back to maybe issue 250's files and you'll have more 32-bit and VST 2 plugs. It's easy to see what's in there: just extract the files and browse.felis wrote: Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:52 pm Any idea how much of it is 32 bit or vst2 only?
Also - when you open it, is it easy to see what individual files/synths are there?
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Just seen cm316.
FileSilo is for older issues. MusicRadar (another brand of CM's owners) is now hosting the downloads.
And the system has changed - no need to create an account. Instead:
There was also some debris on the Q3 page and the site reported that I had entered incorrect answers. Stepping back a page got "You have correctly answered the security questions and can now download from the following options:"
The bad news - the videos are now on YouTube - I could not see any download links.
