Soundpaint has made me look at sampled instruments again.

Sampler and Sampling discussion (techniques, tips and tricks, etc.)

Hi. I've been ignoring this development because I've not been using sampled instruments a great deal over the last year or so. However, I just checked it out and they have some really nice and cheap instruments - plus the player seems pretty cool as well. On top of that, once you've registered their player, you can download a rather nice, and deeply sampled Steinway grand piano library for free!

You can use this code to get $15 off your first order.

I'm a fan of Soundpaint. 8Dio (that's who created it) is taking samplers/VI hosts to the next level. I also bought their "Soul Guitar" for dirt cheap and a big fan. They are coming out with some really good stuff really cheap IMO.

Yeah I agree. Impressive instruments at a pretty cheap price point. I needed a decent gnarly double bass so I bought the Bazantar with somebody else's code for $5 and at that price I'm well pleased. I'm just waiting now for someone to use my code then I'll probably dip in again for one of their other offerings.

I tried it, i guess someone else got there first as it didn't work.

There are some good reasonably-priced libraries in Soundpaint for sure. I think the idea was they wouldn't have sales if I remember correctly.

That's weird. There must be something wrong with my code. I best change the title.

Yeah, Soundpaint are doing it right. Jump on their Discord server if you want to chat with the developers and make requests etc.

Cheers for the heads up.

Thought I would give it a try as it loads user samples, but find their sample rate restriction a bit much.
Does seem like a nice engine, but the last thing I want to do is get into a closed architecture.

Post

I didn't realize that it did that. Probably not something I'd want to use it for really, although I may give it a try.

Here is a link for a free $15 voucher code. http://soundpaint.refr.cc/seanclarke

Definitely worth downloading, 3 freebies now and the engine is surprisingly strong- you don't just get programs you get the 'parts' (partials' and you can build your own patches with this (up to 4) and morph between then etc. Great modulation options and The FX are also very strong...I am really impressed, surprised there is not more buzz about this.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

FYI, the discount only works if you're a new customer.

Ah, that'll be why.

I had an account but wasn't a customer, just downloaded demos and a free ones. Coupon is not available to me. I had a $50 Piano in the cart.

Which coupon? Mine or SLiC's. My code definitely seems to be working and hasn't been used yet. If you haven't bought anything from them before you should be able to use one of these codes. Perhaps send them a support request? I'm sure they'd sort it out for you.

I have an account but only for free stuff. I guess they count that as already being a customer as the email is registered. Not the end of the world though.
