Probably just for MAC. Downloaded imposcar. Says its file was modified 2013-07-11. Don't want to try and install it again, and support is only accessible for registred users so can't ask them what is going on here.

They do have Windows installers (older Version: 2.0.3 Release: 2 June 2015), but it seems here on a M2 Mac its a wrapped AU. In the VST I could not paste the long numbers to activate it. But I had only installed the VST. Then I thought, I might need to do that in the standalone. Installed the standalone and that could not find a AU??? Then again went back and installed the AU, and after a restart, I could finally authorize by pasting long rows from my account...
Sending it MPE Midi from my Linnstrument would silence it... Ok, it shines with all these arps and sequences anyway. And those are really nice...
The presets are not tuned, I mean not at all! Fundamental about +- a half step WTF??? Is this an attempt to recreate the annoyance of the hardware? Will it go also out of tune if you finally tuned it?
But its worth for its sounds... phew... kinda fun...

I love impOSCar 2, but I feel it’s just a tiny bit away from being amazing. I wish the filter and drive were just a tad more wild sounding. I wish they’d ditch the faux 3D UI and make a resizable flat UI.

Yes, it would be so much better if the UI was pure white, and you shone a little 'torch' over it, which revealed only part of it at a time, that way you would have to memorise where every single dial is. Or perhaps make it 'flat', 'clean' and 'modern', with no way of knowing what is or isn't a button or a dial, and what is or isn't a heading. Much better! Damn those 3D, realistic interfaces which take weeks to produce and look beautiful, like real things, life would be so much better if every VST was flat (which is not at all boring to look at, and bloody difficult to use, of course.)

Gforce never gives any warning but it will come out. Probably next year. I would not expect early in the year but who knows.

I see. I am not much familiar with GForce yet, so thought to check. ImpOSCar2 seems to be a decade old and it's also on sale for a good price (not sure if it has never been at this before), so looking at their products list I thought it would make sense if they do ImpOSCar3 next.

ImpOSCar2 sounds great and along with Oddity3 it would be two different type of synths to add to the arsenal. But just trying to restrict myself to one at the moment and would prefer Oddity3 since it sounds more useful and of course is the newest.

Imposcar3 would be really great. V2 was released one year before DIVA and was one of the most authentic analog emulation and lost the throne to u-he diva

I probably sound like a total fan boy, but I like impOSCar better than Diva. They're pretty different synths though.

And IMO, Diva lost the authentic analog emulation throne to GForce OB-e/SEM. YMMV

maybe not as prolific as other companies, but what they do do, is top of the class.
honestly, cant go wrong with any of them, if you like the original synths sounds
