Rock on. I'm looking forward to this, but I've already gotten great value out of Beat Scholar--in fun alone, it was worth it--but also I've gotten results I very much like.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Yeah, looking forward to the update! I really appreciate that you listen to input and improve a really good product even further :)
If not in the update, I would like the possibility to switch patterns mid-pattern (so that the pattern does not retrigger from the start when I switch) I find that very useful when jamming. I can set it up in Bitwig using multiple BS in layers but it would be easier if it was possible in BS. I don't know if it is hard to implement.

Thanks guys! We hope to make Beat Scholar the best beatmaking plugin out there and that can't happen if we don't listen to you :)

Re. your request - I agree completely and it was part of our original definition for pattern triggering, so you can decide between both modes. We labled it "Fill Mode" as in drum fills being triggered mid pattern and in compliance with the remaining length.
There are ways to "cheat" BS into doing that, but we should definitely implement a smooth method of doing that. Future updates! :D

Great! 🤘

Keep on grooving, I am excited. Its the most inspiring plugin since Bitwig came out…; - )
Looking forward to the update and got already new ideas… what about a mode to change key assignments on the fly to turn it into an arpeggiator on stereoids? It could play also whacky melodies that way…
But first get this one out. It is already the best beat making plugin on earth, it will conquer the universe soon…

Much appreciated! I think you'll dig this update :)
We're also thinking about similar concepts for melodic composition and hopefully we'll be able to release a product that deals with that side...maybe even in early 2023!

When will be available latest update if you have bought the plugin through Pluginboutique?

We're aiming to release this version by tomorrow - I'll post about the update here as soon as it's available.
We will also send the newer version to PIB but we can't be sure when exactly they will put it on their site, so I will post the download link here so it's easy for everybody to get the latest version :)

Hey everybody -

As promised, here's the new update - You can learn all about it and download from here:
https://www.modalics.com/post/beat-scho ... he-big-one

We've added a whole new workflow with the Randomizer module, new presets, performance improvements, new key commands to help facilitate more agile beat making and more!

Hope you enjoy it and please let us know what you think!

Could you also do something with your web site? I am logged in, but when going to the download page, I only get buttons for "Buy Now" and "Manual". Downloading new versions should be simple, if there is a difference between a demo or a full version, it should be possible to download in my account area...
Finally after some searches I did find the download, but it needs too many clicks and its definitely not where I would expect it to be in the first place (the download page...).

Nice update! Would be cool to save the randomisation setting per lane.

+1 on this, a simple link in your account would do.

The Modalics site is a bit of a mess. I am not sure how I found it, but I have this bookmarked which is what I use to get at new versions: https://www.modalics.com/beatscholarversions

I tried the link in my account to "resent licenses" but it didnt seem to do anything. So that seems broken too.

Performance is up quite a lot for me with the update :tu:
