In ST2XL, woods and winds ... the BASSOBOE sound has 2 "bad" notes: C6 and Db6. The initial attack is fine for about 1 sec - but thereafter it goes kinda wankers. All the other notes sound great.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix somewhere that I haven't seen? Is the sound salvagable?
I am using sonar3pe
Thanks

Sorry about the confusion - but it may be C4 and Db4. Sonar says 1 thing - but if I simply play the ST2 keyboard directly, it gives a different octave number.

ST support found the problem: Stretch is by default set on for that patch. With Stretch off, the problem goes away. The downside is that the timbre of the sound changes quite a bit. The Stretch version of the bassoboe sound is very lush. The unStretched version isn't as attractive.
I realize there are limits to Stretch - but I didn't think they were applied to orchestral sounds.
Is the "Stretch" version of the Bassoboe sound fixable?
Thanks
