Hello, I want to find an equalizer or something to use a reference song and improve vinyl recordings. These vinyls from Greek 70s and 80s artists, my friend owned have not been released in compact disc only some selected songs. Unfortunatelly he has not now the vinyls, they are destroyed. Many of these are ripped with not much lowend and they don't have bass. Other look to have very hard bass, closed sound and not high end.
I had asked you some months ago and you have told me some vst plugins. I have demoed many of these without finding a solution.
For example Ozone 10 is very good in it's work but demo was crashed always in my laptop.
For daw I use always Adobe Audition. REAPER was crashed always and the free ocean audio doesn't accept vst3, now I downloaded a newer version and doesn't accept also vst, it has problem. Audacity that I downloaded a newer version doesn't play sound many times.
The other solution is to buy these old vinyls in cassettes, because I find these sealed in very low prices. I bought some cassettes in mint condition and they play with very crystal clear sound in an old walkman I own but there is no way to connect this with a laptop and transfer these cassettes in digital files, even with a jack. I tried two usb cassette converters different brands, and they have much hum or buzz, but generally a very disturbing noise, when I push play even there is no cassette inside. I returned these back in the shop and they gave my money back. Also my friend has tried one else brand usb cassette converter and it had the same problem.
I would be grateful to help me.

In my opinion cassette players with USB are toys, as you found out.
What have you used to record vinyls so far to PC? Do you have an audio interface, or built-in computer sound with line input?.
Try to find a good cassette deck. Ask around at friends. But even the headphone output of your walkman should be usable, you just need the right cables & adapters.
Getting a good recording comes first. Polishing up is less important if the songs are really worth listening to.
What tools you use is not so important once you know how to use them to fix certain issues. Noise can be removed, to some extent. But if your source material has no bass & treble, it won't ever come back.

re polishing being less important...
damn straight! i recently replaced a couple of old lps with the cd reissue to save flipping and i can also use my remote...
it sounds almost dead in comparison, misses all the pop and crackle that i grew to love without realising as a part of the music.
so i just grabbed a recording off my record instead.
if it's something you have listened to in a worn state, you do miss it if too much of that is removed.
if you do clean them up, don't overdo it!!

Thank you for your answers. My friend ripped the vinyls some years ago and made it flac files. Maybe he didn't have the right phono filter. I have tried as they told me this jack for connecting my old walkman in one side the line of walkman earphones and in the other side the line of laptop.

But unfortunately my walkman device didn't appear in audacity or in adobe audition in order to transfer and record the songs walkman played.

it won't appear as a device, but will be recorded on a line input in either audacity or audition.
