Not quite, I would like a real-time FX on clips - where I can just drag an FX to a clip and do my thing (like SONAR, Studio One, Samplitude Pro X, etc.).
Direct Offline Processing is non-destructive in that you can always revert back to the unedited audio, but every time you make a change you have to render a new FX file, the entire thing is in a completely different application window, etc.
From a workflow standpoint, it isn't as efficient... and it's not like I am really starving for CPU headroom in my projects.

^^^ imo Infiltrator has solved it just needs a long triggering MIDI note

if phase locking is enabled the envelope doesn't start from 0 (at the triggering)but it's locked to the song position (at the bottom) so MIDI note chase friendly (ok it has 54 effects only

Bitwig doesn’t have quantized audio after all these years. Time stretching/slicing in the sampler would be nice as well.

I use Logic (and occasionally Cubase) and miss a bunch of things from Digital Performer:
- Chunks
- Spotlight-style quick actions
- Track management (search for tracks, show/hide matching tracks)

There were a few things that bugged me when I was using Bitwig, but the lack of quick and easy transient timing editing was the biggie that sent me packing.

All of this is what keeps me in DP over Logic. There are a lot of small UX things in Logic that are great, but track selection, Chunks and Run Command are invaluable to me.magog wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 4:38 am I use Logic (and occasionally Cubase) and miss a bunch of things from Digital Performer:

Logics built in instruments are amazing though. DP's not so much, Mx4 is nice, but it's not MPE ready really, and it's GUI is the size of a postage stamp.
