Anyone given this new Kazrog True 252 graphic EQ a try?

It's still running the $29 intro pricing for one more day.. I'd be hoping for any views on how it compares to other colouring graphic EQ's, with rather limited amount of frequencies to adjust (ie. 7 or less). I have no other graphic EQ in use, but this sounds really good to me with it's vintage flavour.

I have pretty much overlooked graphic EQ's, but now I realize what a grave mistake it has been. As for me, fully parametric EQ can be a bit too much in the heat of a mixing session, I'm not really the kind of guy who thinks "yeah this would need a 0.5dB cut on 3.3K with narrow Q". And this one is certainly not for the surgical work anyway..

It seems that those carefully chosen, limited number of frequencies are much better for the workflow, as there is no micro-adjustment. If I only started trying these out years ago.. oh well!

Yes, it’s excellent and I’m having great success using it on individual channels, both for heavy reshaping and light sweetening. Fast workflow and the curves and frequency points work really well.

I feel the same way. Some EQs just hamper the process for me. I’ve had my eye on the True 252 since it came out (looks, reviews, tone) and finally bought it (days after the sale expired). I’m really looking forward to using it.
