That slogan starts with a word BUY. "Spend over 140€, get Frost FREE" would be a good slogan.

Dude free gift with purchase is pretty common on black friday sales. Since at least the 1920s stores would do this (I have my grandparents collectable ornaments from then). Often times the gift was either limited edition or holiday specialty food items. All of you people personally offended by this are boggling my mind. If you hate black friday/holiday sales, don't participate. Personally I recommend you take a trip to Seattle or San Francisco on New York and experience the holiday shopping season. Some of my best memories were trips to the big city for shopping, eating once a year holiday treats, ended with seeing the symphony or Nutcracker ballet that night. Same for my kids. Same for my parents before me, and theirs before them (well except for the Nutcracker, it wasn't a tradition until the 1940s). You don't have to like American culture, but partaking in it and complaining about it at the same time is friggen lame.

And actually, you better not got to large America cities, you might have a stroke seeing all the 'free gift' displays in shop windows. Or the adds for a this seasons free ballet poster (shocker, only if you attend).

If by 'this kind of methods' you mean offering a bonus for purchasing their products, what do you recommend for 2022? Austerity and provided less value for people's money? That's a strange take. I would rather receive MORE for my money in 2022.

Don't pretend not to know what's going on.
It's not promoted as a bonus, but as FREE.
You have your view on it, the many posts for instance on YT show a very different view from yours, though.
This method for sure will make some people stay away from AA. The guy who's to blame for the promotion doesn't seem to be very clever and created rather a new additional AA image than a successful campaign.
This bf I will spend less than years before, I think I will buy about two plugins or maybe just one, not sure yet. Yes, on bf some people buy plugins afaik and "tempting" doesn't mean "fooling" or "misleading" !
There is one more question, whether it's the offered or list price to be elegible, re-sellers of AA plugins will understand the question.

IK Multimedia stuff is great. And I remembered that they have one plugin for FREE now. I mean you pay 0€, you buy 0€, you spend the total amount of 0€, and get Classic Clipper for FREE in audioplugin.deals

for $140, right now, I'm getting Total Studio Max 3.5 from IK Multimedia, which includes T-Racks 5 Max, Modo Bass, Modo Drum, Sampletank 4 Max, Amplitube 5 Max, Sampletron 2, Syntronik2, Miroslav Philharmonic 2, Mixbox, Lurssen Mastering Console and some more stuff.

Where are you getting it at $140??? The best I am seeing around the traps is $187 at Best Service...

Sorry, it's was $199 but I had $70 worth of Jam Points, so it became $140 for me.

Good. Decide on which products you buy based on some wacked out logic that has nothing to do with how they make your productions sound, and let the adults actually discuss the plugin.

Even if you're going to pretend to be above it all with hyper-literalist arguments that ignore completely normal human communication, you lose because they literally ARE giving it away for free to some people who don't have to pay €140. "Free" doesn't mean every single person alive has access to the product for free with zero hurdles to consumption.

I don't know what hyper-literalist is but free I know. There are already multiple different conversations about this plugin not being free, in two or three KvR topics and in Youtube. So I would think that this is not good publicity. Usually companies want to attract customers and a freebie is a good way to do it, but a "freebie" with additional costs/demands (called bonus) is a risky marketing tactic.

I would never expect bigger companies like Arturia, Ik Multimedia or Softube use such "FREE, FREE... but only if..." language.
