How many JD-800 sysex banks are there available online? Just wondering whether it's worth making a SYX to BIN convertor for the JD800, but if there's only a few banks around, it's probably not worth the effort... especially as the expansion PCM cards/banks are not in the plugin (which seems a strange omission...)

What's the technical reason Roland left the Upper / Lower modes out of the Jupiter 8 model? There's an entire world of sounds we are missing without being able to layer/split.

Thankfully we have Tal Audio's J8 that models the Jupiter 8 properly, but what's that say about Roland developers regarding their own synth?

Yeah it's a shame dual mode hasn't been included on either Jupiter 8 plugin Roland have put out.

Those features are included in the System 8 hardware version at least (and Jupiter X).

Same, plus I’d highly recommend Unify for setting up multiple layers and splits, it’s great for that.

Trusampler.. totally agree with you on windows vs Mac, and love my iPads, which is what I’m using now.

And if you’ve been doing this a while you know that the price disparity between Mac/windows was even greater 20 years ago when I was a poor student, running music programs, so learning to build your own machine was kind of a must.

Of course I would’ve totally used a fully speced out Mac if I had a rich uncle:)

Now if i signup for core for 1 month how can I tell if I can demo anything?

With the Core subscription you only get The Standard Zenology and not the Pro version and Zenology sound packs.

To be able to Demo System 8 and System 100 you need the Pro subscription Model.

It's odd, I had a free Pro subscription and when I hit test drive I think it just crashed and then "test drive" disappeared.
