I pre-ordered a Parasite Antifilter from Flight of Harmony:
https://flightofharmony.com/product-lin ... ntifilter/
That will complete my mostly f(h) noise system. I have those modules in a 104HP Enclave case right now but I'm thinking of moving it to a 60HPx2 Blackhole case or a 104HP Intellijel 4U palette case.
I also got a few modules from Synthfox in a trade. They'll probably arrive next month. Aubery's modules are a lot of fun with a very Serge-like approach. They might seem like pretty standard fodder but her modules are ideal for creating chaotic patches. The modules I have work really well with Make Noise stuff, so I'm putting together a small Synthfox system to go with 0-Coast, 0-CTRL and Strega. Aubery also has an amazing page of her DIY designs, lots of circuits that are easy to build on perf board. https://sfcs.neocities.org/index.html

Researching now I heard there is a site that will show you how many hp you need with the modules placed. I want it to be as small as possible while still fitting what I picked and NO, I haven't made any final decisions on modules (just estimates). Heard back from Eowave, its like I thought, the thing is a euro rack unit, just have to take it apart and plug it in.vurt wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 1:02 pmwhat does an all in one techno box need? drums, bass, lead?Constructed Identity wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 2:37 am I am waiting for black friday sales, but I need an interface with more analog ins- preferably in back. MOTU 828es is a frontrunner right now but no final decision yet.
More interesting for some around here would be my plans to go all-in on euro rack with the Eowave Swarm and a couple of sequencers at the heart of it. The Turing Machine; Voltages; Volts; Doepfer 4x4 matrix mixer and perhaps a Behringer 1050
and Erica Synths LXR-02 for drums. I would love to have something sequencing the 2600 with the Swarm!
I like the idea of an all-in-one techno box that is portable. No idea on the size case I should get nor how much I'll end up paying (my soul...)
there's a doepfer module synth voice, with a filter, 8 hp! (might be 10, will check later and get the code)
if you're not married to the idea of the doepfer matrix mixer and willing to spend a bit morethe uhe cvilization is highly recommended, matrix mixer, with 3 other useful modes (even the quadphonic can be used to throw signals here n there in the system even if you don't use quad speakers)
drums ill leave for others
cases, i personally use tip top mantis cases for 3 of my racks, have no complaints other than you have to be careful on the depth of some modules.
but the options are many and varied and depending where you live, some deals will be better than others with postage costs for such items![]()
Looking at anything from 140hp to Behringer eurorack GO 2x140 -because it has a Decksaver cover!

Oh yeah, I bet that would work well. I've been very tempted by the Sledgehammer and almost grabbed it a few times.justin3am wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 5:48 pm The modules I have work really well with Make Noise stuff, so I'm putting together a small Synthfox system to go with 0-Coast, 0-CTRL and Strega.
Right now:
I'm thinking I might get the the Blukač Endless Processor. I was gonna skip it, but the newest demo shows it resynthesizing textures amazingly well, not like a looper, or any granular or spectral freezer I've heard, nor Panharmonium.
I'm waiting on demos of the Klavis Grainity, and am pretty interested in Forge TME Vhikk 2. That one is giving me Strega vibes -- feels like it might be "easy mode", which made me resist Strega for a year but when I finally got one I immediately fell in love with it.

plan your racks here.
you can also search module types and see what's available under each category, so you don't really have to know the models just what you want.
find things on here, then watch youtube to see if it's right for you
mylar melodies on youtube might be a good fit for you, he's more techno oriented in his demos

Something really special will arrive on Saturday. Here is a CAD drawing of the first front panel I've designed myself.

It's just a module for converting various voltage standards and different types of jacks, so that I can patch between Buchla, Serge and Euro, nothing special. This is a really simple thing I've been working on but I really struggle with designing front panels so I consider it a big milestone. I just don't have much skill for visual designs... but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Having a framework which helps determine the spacing of jacks and controls has helped a lot.
I'm just using Inkscape for the graphics and Front Panel Express' FPD application for now but now that I have some experience I'm more confident that I'll be able to make a commercial product that I'm happy with. I can't wait to share what I've been working on!
