Not at all the same here, please read the statement from TBT from earlier in this thread.

They are labeled differently on the side. Beside the brainworx logo and their typical additions that we talk about - they are not brainworx at all. It isn't written anywhere to be otherwise (as I said, beside the logo on the plug, but we get SPL logo etc. on there too).
So my view on that is that brainworx put their stuff in it (the monomakers etc) and added logo, because of that. Thats how much brainworx they are.
Reasons why they are indeed Brainworx (IMHO) are:
- in the about window the same people which work at brainworx are listed
- Brainworx developed also SPL Iron, SPL TransientDesigner, SPL Passeq ..etc.
- all Brainworx developed manufacturers are on their homepage listed https://brainworx.audio/ in the "Come as you are" section

Yeah, where they are called "Brainworx partners and friends" - that seperates them from brainworx themselves.

Nevertheless it's pointless discussion. They are all under Plugin Alliance. And we can call them Soundwide plugins as well I guess. It all doesn't matter and doesn't answer the question whether Kirchoff EQ under PA's umbrella is going to have all of the monomakers etc. Since they can also add TBT to their "partners and friends" and that will according to your logic make it the brainworx plugin. Time will tell, I just think that there are chances that it might be the case.

yeah but for me it's actually clear, that these products are developed from Brainworx for their partners. Show me one other product/partner on PA where it has the "Brainworx" logo and it's not listed here.
Or show me a product/partner listed here, which doesn't have the Brainworx logo on it.

I the end I don't mind, as long as TBT fulfills their promise of continuing development as posted in their announcement.
And the "Brainworx"-Bar makes no sense, as Kirchhoff has all these features already (MonoMaker, Mid/Side, L/R channel differences possible/Output gain).

Kpere should stop this trolling, it messes up the thread.

Plugin Alliance are basically a distribution/sales company. brainworx are a development team, that develop plugins under their own brand, and they also develop plugins for partners that don't have their own development teams. Obviously PA and brainworx have links as those companies are/were run by the same founders.

Other partners do the development themselves, or contract out development to people like Reimund (eg, the Neold plugins are all coded by Reimund Dratwa) and brainworx aren't involved in that at all, and just use PA for the distribution/sales and authorisation libraries.

So it varies, but it's all in service of PA having a wide catalog for both sales and subscriptions, and smaller developers having access to a larger customer base and marketing power.

Just one? I presume by "listed here" you mean the PA catalog. Ok, Neold. (https://www.neold.com/team) There are plenty of other, non-brainworx developed plugins in the catalog, it's easy enough to look if you want to know which they are. Same for the partner plugins that are developed by brainworx too.

I just stated that am afraid that they are going to add PA typical stuff to Kirchoff. Rest was just me defending the statement. I did not start any offtopic and am not going to back off the discussion while I disagree for your pleasure.

Keep the word "trolling" out if you don't understand it..

May gentleman proceed with your talk, I basically wanted to say just what was in my first post. Excuse our digression.

All this was discussed in this thread before.

"Listed here" was related to the brainworx homepage which I linked in the previous post:
- all Brainworx developed manufacturers are on their homepage listed https://brainworx.audio/ in the "Come as you are" section
Only exception may be Lindell Audio, but even these now sublicensed TMT, but otherwise this list should reflect what brainworx develops themselves for their partners.

Yep, agreed... and you're right about Lindell, as there aren't any brainworx logos on their stuff except the Channel 50 & 80 with "TMT Licensed from brainworx" - so they've presumably included them as "partners/friends" for that reason...

Looks like its now officially listed on Plugin Alliance here: https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... ff-eq.html

Edit: 1$ Voucher doesn't work (yet) for me, but the EQ is also not yet officially listed in the categories. So I guess this will change soon.

Yes, excite

I have an F29 voucher waiting (which wasn't accepted now, but I believe they are launching it tomorrow so will try again then). The 14 day demo works for now!
Edit: Got it using the F29 voucher on the 15th, as expected

Not sure what the updates are yet, if other than authentication, but seems to me the font now is consistently sharp during/after resizing the window (Mac OS, 4k screen) (yay!).

Yes, this is what they said would happen, if not I have a 4EVA29 there for it and another one to replace it on the 19th, so all good here.

Oh so now it cost $299 "originally" and $199 is promo price. It just shows how fake are those prices. These practices of putting fake prices should be illegal and most likely are in EU.
The saddest part of PA addicts is that they really believe that those prices are fair and some are even buying plugins at those "original" prices. And they proudly saying this on their "happy pa" groups lol

Post

Ok, now I could buy the Kirchhoff EQ with the 1$ voucher.

YOu'd be suprised how savvy the PA users are. Sure, the high launch price is a psychological marketing trick. No argument there. Intoductory pricing is a well known marketing gimmick used by numerous companies. There is an active FB group where getting deals and strategizing on getting a low price is openly discussed and Dirk is also active there. There are near daily emails advising of special pricing and numerous sales blitzes across most of the product line. A lot of us feel there is a real value add with this company. I certainly have never felt victimized or had buyer's remorse. PA users know that patience pays off. The issue of having too many plugins and too many distractions is a real issue for a lot of us. I am guilty of this and PA is responsible for feeding some of that excess. That is a different discussion though.
