Hi,
I have the UD4-X99 motherboard. I am trying to use an SSD on to the M.2 slot.
SSD model: 980 PRO w/ Heatsink PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 2TB
When I connect my ssd on to the m.2 slot on the motherboard, I am getting a bluescreen and windows doesn't boot.
Please see attached for error message
Does UD4-X99 not support the above SSD drive? Can I know which version of samsung ssd does my motherboard support?

Is this one being booted as a fresh install, cloned image or secondary drive. Lot of missing factors. Check bios settings etc. Do you have enough slots for the ass IE system rig specs graphics card or cards used. Could be one for windows forums.
If it's a clone you may need to reinstall as I've had similar before or use macrium reflect may need pro to rimagw to new hard ware.
TBH on the ltd info it's hard to say. My guess fresh install required after bios settings tweaked
Or try safe mode boot and check right drive is being used iw F8 on most machines as I recall just after powering up...goodluck

Ita only crashing when i use the 980 pro .. If I don't use the m.2 slot, it loads fine

Below solved my problem. Very happy today 
From the motherboard manual:
The SATA3 4/5 connectors will become unavailable when an M.2 SSD is installed in the M2_10G connector.)
M2_10G, SATA Express, and SATA3 4/5 connectors can only be used one at a time. The SATA3 4/5 connectors will become unavailable when an M.2 SSD is installed.
From the motherboard manual:
