I made a list for myself a while ago in context of live use (latency inducing plugins were usually not considered). I haven't been testing plugins for cpu usage for many months, but there is still quite a lot there. The main usefulness of this list is in comparing plugins’ cpu usage number to each other, and not so much the absolute value (except to see if they are at a generally low cpu usage of course).

I think fabfilter gives best balance of features, quality and cpu consumption. There are better quality ones like DMGaudio and TDL with more cpu consumption.

Plugins with low CPU load
