Ambient Online allows embedded Bandcamp codes, but that forum uses vBulletin software. In any case, album and track embedding will require separate bb codes.

It moved to a vBulletin-hosted server from a private server running vBulletin in 2017, but I had already created the BB tags in 2015 when SoundCloud went from flash-based to HTML5. It took me a while to work it all out.

Ben's SoundCloud embedding code here is much smarter than my parameter-substitution based bbcode. He seems to extract the track id by querying the URL, and pulling the trackid from there, before displaying the widget. If the URL disappears, the forum doesn't display it.

If you add a YouTube URL in a post then the forum software will automatically display a youtube player when you view that post. It does similar things to other URLs as well

and yet in the "youtube" field of my profile it won't accept the link to my channel. too bad as I have lots of videos...

You can request in the site stuff section to add BandCamp.

Perhaps you only need to fill in the channel name, not the full link?

I've tried the channel name in my profile. It accepts it, but clicking on the link generated fails (page is not available). It would possibly make more sense to use the YouTube handle -

(in my case).
