I just now see that the Explorer 8 Upgrade is $57.21 at Best Service. Anybody get an upgrade through a retailer? If so, did it work just as it would buying directly from the Rob Papen site?

I got mine from Audiodeluxe a few weeks ago. Worked without any problems.

I don't think this is a very fair upgrade price tbh. I've upgraded to Explorer 7 from 4 RP products earlier this year for € 99. If I upgrade to Explorer 8 now for the very same price as everybody else with 4 RP products can, the € 99 I've spent for the Explorer 7 uprade will turn out to be wasted money.

I think I'm gonna e-mail them and ask if they have a better offer

Same for me - Upgrade price from E7 to E8 is too high. Will wait for better prices in the future or E9.

I wonder if I buy the same upgrade/crossgrade via Best Service (a little cheaper), will it be fine? Does RP account check anything when you actually register?

I assume that since I got the coupon code on my email I am eligible for the upgrade/crossgrade whichever way I buy it. Any confirmation would be appreciated.

I guess they are checking if the base products are registered in your account.At least, the number of products is counted by the system. Haven't tried to cheat, though.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Okay, I was actually a bit surprised to get this offer, which one could call cheating, but at the same time it was generated officially from my RP account and I got an email with all the details and coupon code to purchase eXplorer 8 for a good price.

So, I'd imagine it would probably be safer to buy it through the link in the official RP email and not try to save that little bit more via Best Service. The steps are pretty simple: basically, the email says to buy it using the coupon code and I will get getting an email with a new license. Hmmm....

Yeah, I should have dropped them an email too when I sent an email to Best Service for confirmation. I agree that RP support is one of the best and very generous. Their products may not be the most appealing and modern looking, but the sound department is brilliant, which is of course what matters the most.

anyone been able to get their free upgrade to explorer 8 from a recent explorer 7 (upgrade) purchase? it was a direct purchase from their own web shop.
as per the upgrade information, ive emailed the info@ address twice since wednesday and had no response.

Anyone else having stability issues with Blue3?

Still running the demo and still getting clicks/pops when holding down a note and moving the filter open/close with the mouse, also with sub osc level knob and moving the XY.

Tested those parameters with automation and didn’t hear anything that shouldn’t be there.

No crashes here in Live11 on a silicon MacBook
