The GUI of Nexus seems better though :)

Would be great if Avenger got a facelift.

No, but there are more editing options.

VPS Avenger is a better choice if you want to create your own sounds.
Your CPU & RAM would disagree.

Avenger is definitely more resource intensive...but, you can create your own sounds from scratch. I believe Avenger is being used to create some of Nexus sounds these days.

Hmmm. Source? Or just a feeling?

You can't truly create from scratch in Nexus 4.5, but there are a number of basic init presets that you can use as starting points with specific configurations.

I should ask one thing, with the update to 4.5.4 I no longer see the "Black Hole" ( which was included in version 4.5.0 )
among the reverbs...where did it go? on the Riveberbero section, I only see Arts Acoustic ( room, hall and arena ) and Rutaverb ( nuclear, solar, nova, space and singularity)

It was renamed to Singularity due to trademark conflict with another companies reverb.

I did wonder at the time if that was a wise name...

It's a compliment to Eventide though that their often very-reasonably-priced plugin now defines an entire class of reverb. And it really does.

From the Avenger thread:

“Unfortunately 1 star is due to the protection that this Avenger VPS has that I bought and after a couple of months it asked me to 'register' it again ??? what the f**k? I had to stop a project I was working on in my DAW to find the username and password for the V-Manager, then I had to re-start all instances within the project because it wouldn't take the change etc etc “.

Am still considering buying Nexus. It doesn’t do anything like this other synth, right?

It does, more often too. Buttttt it does it transparently, so you just need to be online every 30 days I believe.

The requirement to be online once every 30 days was removed. Now you only need to update your license after buying a new expansion.
