I'm ok with being wrong. :D
Ok so does that mean I will see a Slayer 3?!
That is certainly more realistic expectation than IK MODO Guitar ever being released. :P

But sadly no HL3.

I highly doubt that he owns the Vanguard rights. Imagine what that would mean, if a developer who was hired by a company to code their plugin, and then he owns the rights of the plugin. It would basically mean that they could never do anything with it again, unless the original developer gives back those rights (or allows them to do a version 2 on his conditions). I doubt that that is the case here.
Please stop distributing misinformation and making false assumptions. You were never involved in the development.
Vanguard1 (as well as PlastiCZ, Slayer, JunoX) was a collaboration between me and Michael Kleps. We were both small indy-developers and shared the income. For Vanguard I did create the concept, the prototype, code the waveforms/wavetables/oscillators, the audio-engine (except arpeggiator & reverb) and one of the factory banks. Mike did the GUI, some preformance optimisations, the arpeggiator, the marketing and the website.
We also got a contract for Vanguard2 where reFX licensed my old sourcecodes.

Yes. But you don't own the rights on the name. Even without your source code, refx could have made a Vanguard 2. That was what I pointed out.

Stop misunderstanding me.

This would be a break of the contract. I'd take legal actions. The synth would also not be properly downward compatible because it does not longer sound the same

Which rights do you own exactly on Vanguard?

I won't post any of the contracts I got with other companies to the public. I also will not answer any further stupid questions from you.

Ok, that's also an answer. ;)

For the future, you really should try not to take offense with everything someone says to you. I don't want to attack you, it's just that this legal situation seems weird to me. Ir refx didn't own the rights to even release Vanguard 2 on their terms, you could have easily said that you don't want it to be released at all, and they couldn't have done anything about it.

Time to let Vanguard go... strip the DRM and release it, as is, unsupported, for free! Run, little plugin who could! Run! Be free!
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(
