I have stopped using the plugin since I had problems with activation after I bought a new mac. I don't have time with this type of activities...

THIS is my exact concern. When I buy something I want to feel like I own it without feeling like I also added a chain around my neck.Chipi wrote: Fri May 27, 2022 4:32 am
Thanks for the info guys, it puts my mind at ease now. What I don't quite understand is why every 3 months? Couldn't it be per year? It's weird...
and if their server stops working, let's say they discontinue the synthesizer, how will I continue using it?
I also have Omnisphere but with Spectrasonics I feel that the money invested is mine, I mean, I have paid for a synth that I will be able to use in 10 years, but with Avenger I am in doubt, but maybe it's just my head...thanks so much for the info!![]()

I personally see no problem using any physical key like Ilok.
That way, no need to connect every three month...which is completely annoying.
But I suppose it's a matter of percentage they would have to give to Ilok, then...
Maybe best solution would be :
1 physical key for your main machine.
1 online time limited key for your secondary machine.
Everyone would be happy, then...(I admit, me first)

Excellent Synth with a horrible license 90 freaking days request... due to the protection that this Avenger VPS has that I bought and after a couple of months it asked me to 'register' it again ??? what the f**k? I had to stop a project I was working on in my DAW to find the username and password for the V-Manager, then I had to re-start all instances within the project because it wouldn't take the change. It is a shame that after having spent hundreds of dollars and having registered it, it asks me for license registration again, it has no meaning other than to "remove" potential buyers. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE, DO NOT BUY THIS VST until this stupid thing has been corrected.

Nexus, which had it worse in the sense of every 30 days but better in the sense that it does it automatically once you are connected to the internet, has apparently removed that and you only have to reauthorize when you have a new expansion.
Hopefully Manuel will follow suit.

I'd say forget this plugin.
It's almost impossible to activate, not to speak about re-installing which IS impossible.
I do regret buying it.
Cool concept but this company obviously doesn't give a **** about customers.

Works fine here. Activation easy. Occasionally I run V-Manager and that's it.Heavypop wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 6:24 am I'd say forget this plugin.

I updated V-Manager and it doesn't work at all. I am very used to computers since decades.noiseboyuk wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 7:13 amWorks fine here. Activation easy. Occasionally I run V-Manager and that's it.Heavypop wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 6:24 am I'd say forget this plugin.

I'll probably reformat/re-install my OS this weekend. What's the best procedure I must follow? Do I have to de-authorize the plugin first? I search for de-authorization and found nothing.

You could simply install the Avenger on the new OS and after this is done you can deactivate the old system id in your user account at vps-avenger.com if you log in and then click on "Account Details" in the left Menu.xx JPRacer xx wrote: Thu Jul 27, 2023 8:20 pm I'll probably reformat/re-install my OS this weekend. Now you need to select the VPS Avenger in the Dropdown menu if it is not selected already and then you can deactivate old SystemIDs to get your activation back.
If there is no Deactivate Button you need to contact support via email or create support ticket.
usualy the response is very fast if you try to contact support during office times.
