Thanks. But I guess it might be the same $10 off of the Expansions. Probably doesn't make much difference to wait if you are only after one or two. Contrarily, with the new discount system it would make a great deal during the sale if you want to buy many (at least 5).

I actually did, because the controversy was already talked about back then, but I needed Nexus (2) for some projects back in 2015.

Never upgraded since, don't plan to upgrade and generally avoid like plague any products that are either subs or require license update every x weeks.

I should mention, 7 years later, I have enough experience to make music with what I have (I do have a realy nice collection though, but also a ton of purchases gathering dust), without FOMOing on the latest presets or plugins

Yes. Having much greater scope to edit makes a big difference. Just gotta hope those sep outs aren’t too far off, then I’ll stop whinging completely.

Might get an expansion or two at the same time, I need to go through ‘em.

I sold my Nexus license and (or so I thought) all of my expansions years ago, but I just logged onto reFX for the first time in probably 6 years or so (yay Vanguard 2!) and got a message saying that I have several expansions and skins, but no Nexus license, would I like to merge accounts, etc. Anyway, it looks like I have some remnants that never got transferred, so I'm wondering if anybody knows if these older expansions for Nexus v1 and v2 work with the current versions and if they're transferable? If they are, I'd probably be inclined to give them away for free (or for the cost of any license transfers).

Yes, Nexus 1 & 2 expansions work with the latest version. But if you already transferred your license then these are probably things that can't be transferred, like freebies etc. Which expansions are they?

I got these back in 2007-08, but I don't recall any of them being freebies. I do recall that I had some freebies in my account (e.g., Christmas expansions, and I believe a cowbell expansion), but those are no longer listed in my account, so I assume they either transferred with the sale, or maybe just get deleted when someone transfers their Nexus license? Anyway, my account shows:

Nexus2 Expansion: House
Nexus2 Expansion: Minimal House
Nexus2 Expansion: Minimal House 2
Nexus Skin: C64
Nexus Skin: T-Bee
Nexus Skin: Vengeance
Skin Bundle: Themed
Nexus Expansion: Stratosphere

Looks like Minimal House 1 & 2, Stratosphere are free, the others aren't. The skins are obsolete. Not sure if the others can be transferred, contact support. That's not my department.

I don't yet have it, but I know you cannot add oscillators, one of the biggest remaining restrictions. I understand there's a bunch of init patches with various oscillator configurations.
