If you post this comment to an electronics engineering forum, noone would ask a question. That upcoming manual has to be damn good mr. andy or this is gonna be a brain maze for us (also nice preset funkybot)Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:38 pm Hi Andy, would love some additional options for the schematic view:
1. Copy Mod 1 to Mod 2
2. Restore to default (could back to the 808)
3. Swap Mod 1/2
Use case: I created a cool mod, but whoops, I did it in Mod 1. I'd like Mod 1 to remain a stock 808, but I want to copy this mod into Slot 2.
I do agree with jtsterays that it would be cool if there were "mod presets" that could be loaded into a Mod slot without modifying anything else.
Here's an attachment [it's an actual The Scream preset - not the schematic] with some tweaks to Mod 1 for more gain and drive. I used some values from the Earthquaker Plumes schematic but I'm not even sure how to fully translate that here if it even can be done. Am I putting things in the right place? No idea! But where I landed sounds really good!
The preset has more drive and a lot more bottom than stock and sounds less honky.

With the switch to the new web page there is no longer a working automatic discount system. I wanted to finish The Scream before spending more time on additions to the web page, but it will be coming back at some stage, so sorry for the delay.ericj23 wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:39 pm I thought owning a Cytomic plug-in got me a discount on buying more. I was just away to get the scream but I can't see how to get the discount, or has it gone?

You can grab this .zip file which includes a few "stock" versions of various TS mods:jtsterays wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:03 pm The schematic thing is super innovative, feels like i can mimic any distortion pedals i want but no way im learning that dark magic, would love to have a bunch of presets for this, im not a presets guy but this is a BIG exception
https://cytomic.com/files/scream-beta-presets-2.zip
Some of these will be included in the final factory shipped presets when they are complete, along with the manual.

Yes, I've wanted those too, should be easy to add via a right click on the mod 1/2 control.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:38 pm Hi Andy, would love some additional options for the schematic view:

In the drive section there is a switch, this makes the Drive D1 have two diodes and Drive D2 have one, or they both have a single LED. Everything else should be straight forward enough to copy over, apart from the fact there are op-amps instead of biased BJTs for input / output buffers.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:38 pm Use case: I created a cool mod, but whoops, I did it in Mod 1. It was the compiler causing issues on Windows. I switched over all the __inline statements to be __forceinline and now everything is working as expected, with the Windows HD build now taking around 10% cpu instead of 40%. The mac build remains the same. I've released this as v1.1.5:

Also i found a new minor bug, if i resize the GUI by dragging then i spam the schematic view switch, the GUI slowy gets smaller and smaller (resizing in the settings is fine tho, size doesnt change when i do the same thing)

Can you please email support@cytomic.com with your system setup and versions of everything? Also if you are on windows I'll need to know your display scaling settings.jtsterays wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 6:06 am Also i found a new minor bug, if i resize the GUI by dragging then i spam the schematic view switch, the GUI slowy gets smaller and smaller (resizing in the settings is fine tho, size doesnt change when i do the same thing)

Actually don't worry I can get it happening here, a very slight reduction by a pixel or two in size which only happens if you set the gui scaling by dragging not to 50% 100% 150% or 200% size. Probably a rounding error in the gui size calculation cause by floating point to integer (pixel) sizes.andy-cytomic wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 6:09 amCan you please email support@cytomic.com with your system setup and versions of everything? I checked into this, and this is the expected behaviour when the components are extremely mutated / randomised. The signal can get completely high pass / low passed and clipped until you can't hear anything. Also this highlights the extra modelling that is going on with the HD version, which models the power draw on the battery which causes extra sag and dynamics to the sound.mustgroove wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 10:30 am Just messing around with 1.1.4 and the randomise feature, got a nice sounding tone, and then when I switched HD mode on the plugin went silent. Switching HD off, the sound came back on again.

Also i think its better if HD was on by default instead of MD, CPUs are so strong nowadaysandy-cytomic wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 5:59 am It was the compiler causing issues on Windows.
