You can have all three at the same time. There is a limit button at the top. There is always saturation (at least at -12db), depending on how hard you push into it (vertical scale). However, you have an XY control to modify the relationship between all three as well. This can help with workflows, depending on the user.
If you're trying to get a certain color, shape, you can quickly find it by moving the XY control instead of a bunch of fake knobs.
STart with 100% mix, quickly grab your sound, then dial back mix to flavor.

Really loving this thing, just wish the CPU load was lower. Right now I can only use it to bounce through, but my computer isn't anywhere near being the most powerful anyhow :/

The Dev is working on CPU load in Windows. They will likely get it sorted out. I compared my Cubase to Reaper and it was a huge difference.

yeah.. i found it to be very immediate and fun to use. it's fast to try things out and i think it sounds awesome. i like that the gui forces to use my ears more than look at values.ozonepaul wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:41 am Downloaded and played with it for 40 minutes. These are my first impressions:
1. For the first 2 minutes a bit scary/unfamiliar GUI design but after less than 5 minutes it makes total sense.
2. In fact it's an exceptionally well thought out GUI design. After a few minutes of testing, the RADAR display made so much sense. It is a great idea visually tying together these "3 levels of compressions". I never bought Klevgr.'s Korvpressor but I remember seeing some demo videos when it came out. Probably that was the last time I've seen a new approach to compressor GUI design that made this much sense.
3. The sound of Invigorate is very "musical" even when pushed to extremes. At modest settings it's not far from neutral/linear but with more aggressive settings it has got some "analogue" character to it (when I say analogue I mean non linear/weird and characterful in a good way). It's a great sound.
4. There is another complex dynamic shaping tool I find very useful (and easy/fast to interact with) from ADPTR AUDIO, it's called SCULPT. It is absolutely insane what a micro level of control I got from using Invigorate in tandem with Sculpt. Earlier to get just half of this level of control over dynamics one had to spend way over $5000 on hardware and the settings were still not recallable. Insane times.
Anyway, I'll play a bit more with it before buying, but I think I could squeeze some good mileage out of this.
Finally: me personally, for the actual usability and sound quality, I find the $29 loyalty upgrade/crossgrade price very reasonable.![]()
My 2 cents

Is the loyalty discount going to be ongoing? Got a few other demands on my funds at the moment and was wondering whether the current discount is time-limited.
If so, I might also wait until the CPU hit is fixed as it was a little taxing on my PC.

The loyalty crossgrade price is always 40% off. Invigorate is half price until Jan. 2nd. So on Jan. 3rd it will go from $29 to $59.

Finally got around to trying it, and I'm impressed. I don't have any loyalty discount but Thomann knocks it down from $49 to $43. Worth it I think.

Is it really always 40%? For me the website is showing 39$.DGillespie wrote: Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:05 am The loyalty crossgrade price is always 40% off. Invigorate is half price until Jan. 2nd. So on Jan. 3rd it will go from $29 to $59.

40% off if you own the Elevate Mastering Bundle. It’s less if you own single plugins.

Practically speaking, that might be more useful yeah. But technically, it makes total sense that they go in this order. A compressor with 0ms attack/release and 1:infinity ratio = a hard clipper. So if you start out at reasonable compression times/ratio, then gradually decrease the times and increase the ratio, you'll eventually have a limiter, and if you keep decreasing the times and increasing the ratio you'll eventually have a distortion. That's why it makes sense that the limiter is in the middle, it's on the continuum from compressor behavior to distortion behavior.Digivolt wrote: Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:03 am Am I wrong in thinking that Overdrive should be in the centre and Limit off to the right so you can morph between compression and distortion and not compression and limiting ?? Seems a weird choice to be able to morph comp/limit limit/distort but not comp/distort.
Seems like the dev work here must've centered around finding some good curves for each of those parameters, to get you decent sounds across that continuum. I'm not sure yet how useful I will find that method of controlling these dynamic effects, but I like the idea, and it sounds fine to me honestly. Gonna try it out some more soon and see how I feel.
