After countless hours fighting this problem, here are the settings that perfectly work.

1. Focusrite Scarlett 4i4/2i2/Solo/etc... whatever the card is, just plug it in. Plug the main speakers to the outputs 1 & 2 in the back of the sound card.

2. Install Focusrite driver 3.6.0 (uninstalling any newer versions listed below - 3.6.0.1822_0 is the best version, trust me on this) - pick the USB version (and not the Thunderbolt version) during install.

The Good Driver version:
  • 3.6.0.1822_0
Problematic Drivers:
  • Focusrite Control - 3.9.0.1978
  • Focusrite Control - 3.10.0.1981
  • Focusrite Control - 3.11.0.1983
3. Installation will start with an uninstallation of previous drivers (if they exist), this is normal. Reboot, for a successful uninstall.

4. Once the installation of v3.6.0 is complete, set the Buffer size to 192 (windows clock icon on bottom right, find the F icon next to it, click on it, and select settings --> Buffer size: 192)

5. Open the Focusrite app

6. Open "Output routing"

7. Monitor Outputs 1-2 (first rectangle on the top) --> set it to "Playback 1-2"

8. Monitor Outputs 3-4 --> set it to "Playback 3-4"

9. Run Traktor/Traktor Pro/Traktor Pro Plus

10. Open "Output routing" option (from the main Preferences menu)

11. Mixing mode --> set this to "internal"

12. Ensure the following settings are selected:
Output Monitor:
L = 3: Output 3
R: 4: Output 4

Output Master
L = 1: Output 1
R: 2: Output 2

13. Enjoy.
