I love Echoboy's groove feature but absolutely hate Echoboy/soundtoys interfaces, been messing around with various delay plugins for creating rhythms from oneshots but was wondering if anyone had a specific recommendation for this technique?

and yeah I have valhalladelay and replika and all the usual classics, they aren't very good at manipulating each tap to create interesting rhythms. I feel like I want a plugin that has an automation lane where you can control the timing/level and interpolate between each tap, some swing etc.

Not exactly what you are looking for perhaps, but what about UVI Dual Delay X or D16 Tekturon (stupid name).

Think you can do this in Timeless 3, as you can program different divisions and timing for each initial tap.

If you’re after more sequencer style delays try Earebound and UVI Relayer which cover slightly different ground to Tekturon

If you're using Ableton Live, I would highly suggest the DENPA Manual Delay device:

Tekturon is pretty close to what I was looking for! Very cool. Thanks ! Most of these are pretty close too, Earebound is reaally interesting but the interface kinda makes me wanna die.

I was actually going to suggest UVI Relayer, since I believe it ticks most/all the OP's boxes. I bought Dual Delay X during the intro sale, but haven't had a chance to spend much time with it yet, but that may be another (better?) option.

OP - your dad says this one is OK with him.

the chow Delay is just that. Just within one plugin

/ its freeware btw. and even M1good iirc (mac)
