The Christmas XP is up now, and with it a reminder I couldn't get last year's as I was on Nexus 3, so I downloaded that too. These anthologies are so much more useful than they used to be in the Nexus 2 era, it's very easy to filter by type now so it'll come up in searches.

Nice- I like that its a selection from the more modern packs, a good 'sampler', analogue synths 2 sounds good...actually they all do! I am very happy as a new user coming in at 4.5, it's a great sounding synth, perfect if you are more into song writing and production than sound design (though now very capable for morphing an existing sound into something new, and with so any pre-sets there isa always a close staring point!)

I bought the 10 pack deal so I think I can safely pass on the Xmas gift this year.

Is a great sounding synth, isn’t it.

Given that you have to buy the synths to experience it, it would be nice if the 10 pack deal was an 'upgrade' price that could be taken later...

A nitpick:
Afaik the old xmas packs had exclusive sounds and now it is only a selection of existing xps :(
Better than nothing but bit effortless?

Yeah, there were a couple of extra specialist packs that I added to my cart with the bundle purchase a week ago but didn’t buy at the time.

If I add them now they cost more than they did then due to lack of extra bulk purchase discount. So I won’t get them. Shame.

Have to say I’m glad I took a punt on the 10 pack.

90% sure it's always been as now - a compendium of patches from the releases from the past 12 months.

EDIT - I just checked. The first one I can see is Christmas 2013 and that has some patches that don't have the library named. From the next year onwards it looks like it is exclusively patches from that year's XPs.

I see some Vintage Synths 2 presets in the free Christmas 2022 pack, so guess this new expansion will be out this month? I have and love Vintage Synths (1), so looking forward to it.

Post

yes this one will come out next :)

and yes... the earliest xmas XPs had xmas sounds on it... real xmas sounds... bells, santa clause saying "ho ho" and reindeer sounds... I guess its better and more useful, like it's now :hihi:

Do the free presets get added to your account automatically or do you need to know about them, then add them?

Run ReFX Cloud and they show up as not downloaded.

Thanks mate, I’m new to REFX. Having a lot of fun with Vanguard too. :)
