"The more you buy, the higher the discount" isn't a in any way exclusive to AA, and calling it "creepy" is way more strange than the concept of tiered discounts.

Are Goodhertz or TAL creepy? Are Arturia creepy for giving discounts on unrelated products if you've bought from them previously? Dozens of plugin companies offer extra discounts either to previous customers or for buying more from them. You should consider that you might have an irrational bias and try to figure out why that is.
