Sorry about that, I forgot to rename it and add the word Beta. All fixed now.

I checked into this, and this is the expected behaviour when the components are extremely mutated / randomised. The signal can get completely high pass / low passed and clipped until you can't hear anything. Also this highlights the extra modelling that is going on with the HD version, which models the power draw on the battery which causes extra sag and dynamics to the sound.
Would it make sense to limit how far some components will get varied (e.g. so audio doesn't get hipassed out of existence) or is it just too dependent on too large a variety of factors? I'm not sure how much it makes sense to try to foolproof the randomization [so audio doesn't entirely disappear] if it at all.

I can make the default depths 20% for the randomisation, so it would take 5 times longer as it does now, but the undo dots are there if the sounds goes silent, just undo a notch or two.

PS: Just to be clear, the Randomise button won’t cause silence from any of the presets / default, it’s the Mutate button that will do that, but even then only after you spam click it a bunch.

Hi there i've just downloaded the beta version and all my previous saved logic pro presets changed .. i mean all my modifications get erased by the new beta version so.. every single song with my settings are gone.. i will have to go back to the previous version where in the cytomic page can i download the 1.0.8 version? can't find the link.. and if this new version erases all my settings well that is a big problem for me.. =( .. or maybe it is a bug?

by the way nice update i really like it.. but if logic pro can't recall my previous settings i will have to stay forever with the "normal" version..

You could go back to the previous version, save the settings inside of Logic as Plugin Settings and recall them with the new version.

Try switching MOD toggle. For some reason previous mods are under MOD2. Maybe I am wrong, but that is what worked for me.

yes i try that and it sounds sort of the same.. but not the same.. the
new version changes the sound of "The Scream" some how... it doesn't quite sounds the same.. and that a big problem for a guitarrist like me.. maybe it will be a better idea to release "The Scream 2" to have them both inside out daw.. because they are very different they don't sound the same under the same exactly preset..i am very meticulous in my work and presets and songs..
and if the sound of a Uinit changes under the same parameters for me it not the same.. when you play guitar.. even the most gentle notes affects the distortion.. so it changes the whole song in the end.. i think it is a good a idea to release the new "The Scream" as a New version.. v2. cos it does sounds the same as v1. it is great I love v2.. but v1 sounds diferente and in my future project I could use the New Version and keeping the same sound in v1.. i think.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Can you please email support@cytomic.com with your logic project so I can dump the preset and see why it's not loading properly? The HD DSP is the same, so you will get the same results with HD mode enabled and the correct loading of the preset from the song. You can delete all the tracks and audio but just leave a single track with old version of The Scream on it. You can download the old version by just changing the version number in the links, so for example change TheScreamBeta_v1.1.5_Mac.dmg to TheScreamBeta_v1.0.8_Mac.dmg

Love the plugin, but how do I keep Random and Mutate from messing up the stereo image? That is, I'd love to be able to lock that so those buttons can't suddenly shift all the sound to the left speaker.

Set the Stereo depth to 0%. Those are two horizontal sliders for depth on the Randomization page.
