I had a few looks on the website of EnergyXT. It seems to offer quite a few possibilities, and it's pricing got my sympathy. But I can't really see what I should use it for when I have Cubase SX.

If anyone can, I invite you to elaborate!

I originally purchased energyXT to use in SX to quickly generate MIDI patterns/arps and route the MIDI to synths in SX. (It does many more things than that).

Now I also use it as a host in itself, and its functionality and feature set grow all the time.

eXT can add alot to SX....

- easily change the order of channel fx
- host more than 8 fx per channel
- easily control any vsti/vst parameter with midi cc#
- add an infinite amount of modulation envelopes, lfos or arpegiattors to any virtual intrument or effect!!
- its got a built in sampler and sequencer
- build complex instrument/fx environments that can be easily loaded into any song
- build midi parts that can be triggered from a single midi key
- i'm sure there's tons more....

believe me, once you start digging, you'll be amazed by the possibilities :)

maybe it will be a better idea to post this in EXT forum...

I don't know SX but in EXT you can ...trigger audio part, chain your effect (parallel), random the presets or what parameters you want on VSTi (better you can crossfade between patchs), make some crazy routings between effects, instruments, buit-in sampler and sequencer because every component is modular.

The first things who comes to mind but again i don't know SX and don't know what this host is capable of...
