Clean filter sound
With the default oscillator level setting you're getting a noticable amount of distortion with all filter types even when the drive knob is at zero:
You can fix this easily by lowering the osc level:
Note that the EQ in the fx section is NOT distorting.

Tame the compressor
The default compressor setting is in a very aggressive Over The Top (OTT) style.
Using following settings a moderate 2:1 compressor with 10 ms attack and 60 ms release time can be achieved:
Set mode to single, turn off upward expansion by double click in the bottom green field.
Put attack to max and release to 30%. Drag mouse in the upper green field until the line density is like in the screenshot. Set threshold to taste. Use the band knob to adjust gain compensation.

With the audio rate modulation capability you can have some fun. Think of a oscillator single cycle which is divided in parts and one half is a pure sind to give a clear fundamental and the other half is anything else, see ... following link with a "recipe" and a example patch

Thanks, that's a nice trick. Alternating Modulator
Using a LFO in point cycle mode you can get a cycling modulator from note press to next note press.
Link it to PAN for example, you get a ping pong sound which changes between L and R for each new note.

I thought I'd give Vital's Text To Speech feature a try tonight. It didn't work. As it turned out, I have to be online to do that. Nope. Sorry. Cubase works best when Defender and WiFi are disabled. Not Vital's fault, though. I found out it merely accesses Google's Text to Speech features for its engine. Oh well. Would've been nice.

Per default SERUM limits polyphony to one voice per note ("piano mode").
Is there a way to make VITAL to behave the same? VITAL is using round-robin-mode, so a new note is always triggering a new voice even if it's the same note again.
