Yup, already mentioned this earlier. Needs to be fixed.

This synth keeps getting better. But a few things they could have done better:
- You can deactivate all of the effects from the main view. But you can also deactivate just FX A or FX B or the Sends from the Play mode. Why not from the main view?
- Speaking of Play Mode. The visualization of the modulation is nice an all, but why not make use of that space for a reduced view of the sequencer or the LFO settings or more macros? A bit of wasted space.
Future wishes for Pigments 5:
- A wavetable editor. Vital, Serum both have a beautiful editor to fine-tune and create wavetables. It's about time!
- Filter feedback. With all these analog-modelled filters it would be a godsend to be able to overdrive them.

One thing I really like in Vital is to have a text-search for browsing wavetables, LFO presets etc.
Haven't seen that in other synths yet, would be nice to have in Pigments as well.
On the other hand, Pigments / Arturias Preset Browser, category and tagging system is MUCH better than what Vital has.

Installing Analog Lab 5 via the Software Centre defaults to silent install and installs everything. No dialogue box appears to allow deselection of standalone, VST version etc, even though I have silent install turned off in preferences. The other plugins don’t do this.
Anyone else get this behaviour or is it just me. Not a big deal but Arturia stuff piles on disk space especially if you have everything.

Great idea, did the same. Luckily those sound packs are also good!

When, oh when, are they going to add ratcheting to the arp/seq? I guess when cows really can jump over the moon.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

I think there actually is drive for some filters, the Mini filter for example. Unless I imagined things, I'm not at my audio computer right now to check.jules99 wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 9:03 am - Filter feedback. It really is. Adds quite a bit of bottom end and "oomph" to the sound which most of the other filters lack.Vortifex wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 10:14 am CPU definitely seems better, although it's still a hungry synth. The new modulation is good. I like the new unison effect. The MS20 filter is fantastic.

I think he means the new 'Wavelengths' preset bundles. If you buy Pigments4 new today, you get them free as well. If you already had Pigments3, you'll get P4, but that preset bundle will currently cost you £20, and will eventually have an RRP of closer to £90.DJ Warmonger wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 12:36 pmThis upgrade is free for existing usersfaminepq wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 10:54 am... just bought v3 ten days ago... without those freebies ...

An idiot on Set Theory:

Once you buy in to Arturia, like with the V Collection,
the updates for the versions you've got are usually always included.
Sometimes if it's really major, there will be a charge, but more times than that, not.

You would be very surprised if you knew how much these interface details affect sales and the comfort of using the tool. Creative people often tend to use beautiful things because they want to surround themselves with any possible aspect. Engineers often do not, and this is okay...
Looks like you're an engineer, good for you. By the way, someone here is a designer, nothing wrong with that.

noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 8:58 am Sheesh, everyone on KVR is a graphic designer. Every time a new synth or a new look comes out, everyone piles on saying how awful it is.
Looks absolutely fine to me, and does't for one picosecond affect any ability to work with the synth.
