necro-bumping this so as not to make a new topic but WaveDNA just let slip a teaser about v1.8 which looks interesting/good but no mention as to when it'll be here and no mention on their site which currently isn't loading for me.

Site is working for me but it did take a very long time to load. Maybe they were doing an update. I like WaveDNA a lot, and have been using the beta for a while. Other than Project Clips, 1.8 is focused on compatibility and stability issues.
From their YouTube channel:
What’s New:
- Improved compatibility including Apple Silicon, macOS 11+ and Windows 11
- New compatibility with Bitwig and Reason on Windows (complementing existing compatibility on macOS)
- New ProTools AAX for Liquid Rhythm (complementing the prior Liquid Music AAX) on both macOS and Windows, and introducing native mode compatibility on Apple Silicon
- Full compatibility has been restored with the Liquid Music Max For Live Device (AMXD) in Ableton Live 11+ on macOS and Windows, and introducing native mode compatibility on Apple Silicon
- Installation and setup have been improved and streamlined with embedded Java (isolated from any system Java)
- The ability to create custom banks of user-created clips as an expansion of Liquid Music’s Project Clips Panel

Totally reasonable but I wish they’d get their shit together. The direct link they sent for the upgrade doesn’t work for me so used the discount code they sent and that doesn’t work either. It says “the code is not available”.telecharge wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 4:18 pm Liquid Music + Liquid Rhythm 1.8.0 has been released with a $129 USD intro price and $29 upgrade for existing users.

I really dont see a payed update for being compatible with actual technology and without any news in content/functions and that after years of no devellopment at all.
Its not their fault cause tragically their main develloper (who had the general idea of all this too) died.
But that makes me wonder if there will be really any devellopment in content/functionallity....
For me liquid music is just to clumpsy for my personla workflow, I would have given a free update a new chance, but no way for paying for the in general same things years later again....
Just my 2cents....

Yes. Made a new account per their instructions. It’s a new system for them but damn what a nuisancechroma wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 5:41 pm Did you make a shoplify account under the same username like they mentioned? If not, maybe try that…

Weird. I didn't try their link, but I was able to apply the code without creating an account. Haven't tried checking out, though.

TBH, I feel pretty much the same way. Wrestling with whether to "upgrade".tatanka wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 5:38 pm I really dont see a payed update for being compatible with actual technology and without any news in content/functions and that after years of no devellopment at all.

They sorted my issue. So, was able to purchase upgrade at correct $29 price.

so after all that it is not running on apple silicon natively. the plug ins say they're apple silicon but all they do is reference the app which is definitely not apple silicon natively.. intel only.dayjob wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 10:17 pm They sorted my issue. there is a $30 license transfer fee and you can only sell your license if it is newer than 2 years.. so if you bought liquid music more than 2 years ago you are stuck with it.mellotronaut wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 7:53 pm i'd sell 1.7 for 50 Dolores or i'd "upgrade" to 1.8 and then sell it for 80 Hurts ... in case, sb is interested, pm me!![]()

i looked into it this morning after checking on the apple silicon native status in activity monitor and felt pretty deceived.
edit: so had a good chat w/WaveDNA and they clarified the situation with native apple silicon compatibility and to their credit they have changed the language in the "known issues" section of the announcement. it's a tricky thing but the plug ins will run natively in apple silicon (or however the DAW/Host wants) and the UI is running as intel.
regardless i've had good performance w/it so far and the update seems to be working fine. I'm glad to have it back!
