Nobody expected the Osmose to take so long, but I also didn't expect that basically nothing really major new would show up in MPE controller land in all that time.
Their concept is just as brilliant and unrivalled as 3 years ago.

Except Erae Touch and a new Roli Seaboard. For my money, Erae Touch shits all over this thing. Osmose's appeal is much narrower, although it is aimed at the meaty part of the market so it will (hopefully) do well.

Does anyone know what the retail price is going to be? I can't find anything at all about Osmose on Expresseive-e's website.

Its 1500E + VAT AFAIK (that was the advertised retail price, I got 40% off that on my receipt when I paid a week ago)

Plenty of units turning up now to people who ordered in France (lots of pictures and first impressions favourable) - Hoping the UK next., I'll let you know when mines in!

That's a good price actually. Unlike the Linnstrument or ERAE Touch, etc., the Osmose is not just a controller but also a 24 voice hardware synth.

In a way the timing is perfect, we just started on a new adventure together working on a kind of graphic novel that hopefully also will have a soundtrack...
What could be better for that than the Osmose from what we heard and saw/tried so far.

I also find the price very reasonable.

Also curious how the Eagan Matrix will feel in actual use...
