Hello again and season's greetings!
Here's my short (and hopefully sweet) submission for this month's OSC.
https://soundcloud.com/neverbeeninariot/one-drop-manuel
Pleasantly surprised by the versatility of Wave Manuel. Given it's first-glance simplicity, I didn't expect it to have such a large sonic palette but it's a very capable synth. Great job Pauli Indie!
Stats n stuff.

Its the many envelopes that offer more control and variance than any wavetable synth. Its simply brilliant. The only drawback I see, is that the sustain moves peak and idle levels as well. I need those decoupled… With that and MPE it opens endless expressivity for my LinnStrument. It would be my goto synth by a margin…

Yep TJ, great potential with this synth for sure! I'd love those lfos to have sync options though and a pitch envellope...
Then here's my submission !

33 Wave Manuel instances
I used a lot Bitwig's modulation system and stock device (eq5, delay2, convolution)
I used valhalla supermassive, tdr kotelnikov and limiter6, mcompressor, hy rpe2, Fircomp, Gclip, Khs Haas, Khz Transient Shaper

Did this synth get any updates in the past couple weeks? I love it but it blows up my comp so can't make a song with it.

Use the checkboxes "lock peak" and "lock idle" to decouple sustain! Sorry this was not clear. Damn non-existing manual..Tj Shredder wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 6:44 am Its the many envelopes that offer more control and variance than any wavetable synth. Its simply brilliant. They are on by default since my workflow is to first find settings for sustain phase for the sound (where moving all at once makes sense so the envelope stays flat) and then work on setting envelope peak etc.
Thanks for the kind words, great to hear that WM workflow works for you. MPE support is coming too!

Sorry, no updates have released during this month. I have hard time making it crash on my computers (I need to try more DAWs) but I've identified some pieces of code that might cause issues like communication between UI / audio threads. I'll be fixing those in near future and I hope it helps!briefcasemanx wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 9:54 am Did this synth get any updates in the past couple weeks? Couple more things I've noticed when used in Cakewalk (in addition to the crashes):PauliIndie wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 2:02 pm Sorry, no updates have released during this month. 1) "leakage" between instances. Never happened to me with any other VST. It didn't happen all the time, but when it happened it was very noticeable
2) Increased delay as more instances are created. I tried it on a very capable i7 desktop PC, lots of RAM, etc. Again, didn't happen with other VSTs

As we all usually do, because we aren't either.....tweak til the end!
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

I just need the fix for the pitch bend only listening to channel 1... If you got this, I can go on...PauliIndie wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 2:02 pmSorry, no updates have released during this month.briefcasemanx wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 9:54 am Did this synth get any updates in the past couple weeks?
