What is your fav plugin that was released
this year?
Well, my fav one is the one that gets
quite a lot of use and it's
Newfangled Audio Comp /Limiter/Distortion (I can never remember their strange plugin names lol)

And is there a plugin that gets less use than expected?
Cherry Audio Elka-X, it's a nice synth, but
too heavy on cpu, so I don't like using it too often.

United Plugins Mastermind. It does something to a final mix that just breaths new life into it.

On the strength of this recommendation and my love for FireCobra, I just bought this without trying it out (because it's still only 29 Euros). I hope you're right about it. (BTW, it's United Plugins, not United Audio, if anyone else is looking for it.)

I'm trying to think what I've bought this year that was only released this year and I'm not coming up with anything. If I can't think of it off the top of my head, chances are none of has really done much for me.

I think most stuff I bought this year was released earlier.
ARVerb was released this year and is a really nice room reverb.

I think it could be Unfiltered Audios Tails for me. Didn't think I needed another reverb but it goes to some pretty strange places so found a place in my arsenal.

Variety of Sound ThrillseekerLA mkII. It jumped right onto my mixbus, doing 1-2 dB gain reduction, and everything sounds so much more 3D and alive.
And a lot of the other releases from VoS this year are great too. And free! Unbelievable... For me, Bootsie is developer of the year, I'm so happy he's back in the game!

For me it's Termless from VTarAmps. It's one of the best ampsims I ever used among many free and paid ones. Awesome for both hi-gain and clean tones.

Released this year, must be Infiltrator version 2 then. Was great already, got better, massively more fun presets. Awesome.

The other thing that I somehow think I will compare to see if there is another one that is maybe even better or simpler to use is ABLM2 by TBProAudio. I wished I had this years ago. Makes so many decisions so much quicker and less stressful. Very enlighening to actually hear things loudness corrected.
