Its a also a bit different when they are perminently (like 99%) a hardware company, the money in from the software version is less important. There may never be a sale, there are plenty of companies that don't ever do sales.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 9:34 amPar for the course in the first year of release for plugins.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Interested to see if there’ll be a bundle including other of their plugins at some point. Things like Night Sky, Mobius, Volante, El Capistan…

Clearly, but as they obviously have the ability to translate their DSP algos to plugin form then I’d guess it’s likely unless sales prove the Big Sky plugin lost them hardware sales.

Well I guess my hope is even if they don’t do sales if they bundled a few at a reduced price I’d be much more tempted. I won’t be buying the Big Sky at the current price either.chk071 wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 12:48 pm Would be nice if they did more plugins, although they're not really in my price range. Maybe they will do some sales at some point.

My main use for this would be to show people Strymon algos aren't better that what is available in plugins.

For guitarists in particular its great to be able to have the same sound in hardware to plug in an amp and software when in the studio. I have the Volante pedal, if they ever gave the software version away free with the hardware BigSky pedal I would probably buy the hardware....IK did something similar with their hardware pedals.

Strymon only had the hardware for years, but I think IK released the X pedals as software inside Amplitube before the hardware existed. Korg are doing a halfway house thing where they sell plugin versions of their hardware instruments like the Wavestate for $149, but it’s only $49 if you own the hardware.

in december of 2020 when they announced the H9 core version will be discontinued they had a promotion where any purchase of an h9 max (or upgrade to max) included the H9 plugins bundle for free. I think that was great, but it was a once in a lifetime thing.vurt wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 6:56 pmnot sure eventide offer a reduction for hardware owners?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 6:45 pm Strymon only had the hardware for years, but I think IK released the X pedals as software inside Amplitube before the hardware existed.
