What do you people use for formant tools for vocals?
I know Melodyne Assistant has it (but not the essential version, I have Essential only).
anything else?

Edit: I know there are many others: but you have found good/not glitchy/making glitch to the vocals etc?

ircam flux is perfect for voice transformation,
but cpu killer and pricey.

I have used SoundToys Little AlterBoy in software and a Roland VT-3 in hardware. I like the Roland a lot ;) In a search, it looks like MeldaProduction also has a free tool, MAutoPitch, that does formant shifting.

In Reaper, for example, you have a handful of JS plugins for that.
It depends on what exactly you want to do.

Melodyne upgrades are 50% off until the end of the year.

$69 to upgrade Essential to Assistant.
$169 to upgrade Essential to Editor, which is what I recommend, if you can do it.
